IP/Location hiding when web browsing

Hi.

I noticed that some websites/blogs have some sort of 'counter' that discloses where the viewing 'hits' come by country or even town/city.

I was wondering if there are free privacy service on the net that will not count my location if I look at that site/blog?

yeah i think you can use a proxy.. but how exactly i don't know.
has anyone used one before and know how to set one up easily?

If you are going to use it heavily then you should invest the time to research them. You can find several review pages on search.

A free service is likely not to be the fastest. Everything you are going to download has to be relayed. Bulky stuff like large images or binary downloads may push you to the bottom of the priority queue.

thanks for the link... it was quite informative
so i checked this site i usually use to buy other things, like clothes and some gadgets, and they offered this selection of proxy software.. which one would you recommend?

some are really pricey.. the ones mentioned in the article seemed to be quite pricey as well.. are there any free options available online?
