DVD flick problem

Hi

I'm very new to dvd flick so please go easy on me!!!
I have sucessfully created about 12 dvds using this program.
But now I see that almost all of my free HDD space has disappeared and I'm down to only 8GB of free space. I can only assume that dvd flick has done this.

How do I regain all of my "lost" free space ?

Are you by any chance burning the files into an image that is saved to your HDD before it's copied onto the DVD?
