    chrome & skype

I am having the same problems with Chrome and Skype, no other programs.

I have just reinstalled both programs and I have the icons on decktop and when I try to login to either, there is no login window on decktop but sometimes I see it quickly flash then disappear of the side of the screen.

I have run malware and AVG but no changes.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks Alan .

Do you mean that Chrome and Skype both opens and then closes immediately?

      Chrome and Skype

      Thanks for you reply.
Yes, Chrome and Skype both behave in the same manner. It is obviously signed in as when I click on the icon, it displays the page in minimum at the bottom of the screen. But the maximised screen appears to disappear to the right and off the screen.
      Alan.

Could the windows simply be moved to an area off the screen? If so, you could try increasing the resolution to something higher and see if you can move it back to the center. Or perhaps it could be that you may have some kind of dual screen set up going, and these programs are opening on the other screen/monitor (which may or may not be on)?

Thanks very much you have hit it on the head. I have had a TV also connected for over a year but never had any problems until now. It is all back to normal.
Now I have to work out how to get the TV to run....Alan

I have the same problem and I also use AVG.. Another failure which occurs is that the Skype app doesn't work as well, however I don't know if this has something to do with AVG..
