If I read the link right how can this be. CD-Wow wasn't selling pirated copies of the CD's but legitamately bought CD's just from another country.

If they are legit CD's they purchased and sold at a discount to the consumers, then why don't the labels sell them in the UK at the same price???

It would be the same as a company in the US buying US music from another country and selling it in their US stores. I guess this is where "free trade" has fallen apart.

This is why they introduced DVD region control - in order to sell at the maximum possible price in all regions based on their economic status and price of goods (eg. $5 in China, $10 in HK, $20 in the US, $30 in Aus, $50 in the UK, all for the same product). Good old 21st century greed.

Thats what it is greed and the old charge what the market will bear which is like armed robbery without a gun.
Like with the price of the high end sneakers , people work in the plants in the countries that mfr them could never afford to buy them at the price they sell for in the US

agree, in Vnam a worker for Nike will work 6 days a week 8 hrs/day for about 80 dollars a month

PS 80 dollars there can support a family with atleast three kids and consider average in come like 30-50 k a year in US
