I wonder if this means we'll get better quality out of YouTube? I've always hated their low quality, and avoided using those videos for stuff unless it was the only choice.

Yes, YouTube's quality is sub-par compared to most of the other video sharing sites like dailymotion. Of course if their video quality becomes better, it will just mean they get sued for more money
