BD+ is a complex coding technology that creates "virtual machine" in the player and performs a series of checks, such as making sure the player hasn’t been hacked, before it will play the disk.

The Blu-ray group shows it's true colors - supporting the movie studio's desire for even more DRM, over the consumer's wish for less.
My question is how secure is BD+, or can it let any arbitrary code run on the virtual machine. The whole point of BD+ is to lock players to prevent playback, surely someone can just change the code and lock any and all players regardless of whether it was hacked or not. How long before someone uses this fact to make an exploit in order to do some damage? On a standalone player, the damage will be limited to the player possibly, but what about PC based Blu-ray players?
