Video rental chain Blockbuster Inc. said on Wednesday it settled a patent dispute with rival Netflix Inc. that challenged Blockbuster's entry into online DVD rental, but it signaled that the new business was taking a toll on its finances.

I hope that the above doesn't mean a price increase to the present $17.99 3@time Total Access plan.Blockbuster said in the filing that it plans to modify its popular Total Access plan before the end of the year to "strike the appropriate balance between continued subscriber growth and enhanced profitability."
I seen that they have a new plan 4@time for $24.99 but I'm good with the 3@time plan swapping them in at my local BB store

My dad got that as a gift for my mom, I hope he keeps paying for it even if they increase the price
(not that I get many movies... my mom keeps them for weeks after getting them so the new ones never come!)

that patent suit is the biggest crock I have ever heard of,
when does putting movies in a queue qualify for a patent?
never did trust netflix, this just confirms it

NF does give you the option to watch the movie on their site rather then mailing it.It's not an option for all of the movies yet though
