    Win a Blu-ray/HD DVD player plus 100 movies @ Amazon.com

    Amazon has started two new competition, one each for Blu-ray and HD DVD, and they are giving away one Blu-ray/HD DVD players plus 100 movie packages every day for a whole month. You have to be an US citizen to be eligible, but you don't need to buy anything and buying something won't increase your changes.

              I think it's an Amazon promo. They've actually had quite a good Holiday period in terms of HD sales (somethings like selling enough HD players to fill a football stadium), so perhaps this is their way to give something back. I think sales for both HD formats, after the Warner announcement, has been slow due to consumers wanting to wait a bit longer to see what's going to happen.
