Study Confirms: Piracy Is Better Than The Real Thing

A UK study on piracy, conducted by Entertainment Media Research, reveals that one third of Brits have downloaded pirated content from the Internet (nothing strange here), and that most of them are doing it simply because the legal methods of purchasing content are lacking compared to pirate sources.

    I totally agree with that...

Look at some older movies, like Disney's Song of the South. Had Disney just released it, that might be fine. But movie purists who want it anyway have no choice but to get a pirated version (usually taped from a UK VHS or Hong Kong laserdisc)

A laserdisc which is basically the UK VHS burned to video vinyl.

And Disney is pulling a George Lucas on a bunch of their movies, leaving LDs, VHS, or pirated copies as the only way to get the real thing.
