Thanks for the clarification. Can you point me to the source for this? MPN's own unit sales figures put DVD unit sale market share at 62.89% for the week ending March 31, which seems about right when compared to the revenue share due to the lower average pricing of DVDs. If NPD puts DVD unit sale at only 37.7% (compared to MPN's 62.89%), then that seems a bit low to be honest, and would only translate to a revenue share of mid 20s for DVD (the average BD cost according to MPN is $20.65 compared to only $10.27 for DVDs). If such a discrepancy exists, then I'm inclined not to include the NPD graphs in the future (which I've only done so starting recently because it has separate UHD numbers).

The huge week for Blu-ray last week made way for the Easter sales lull this week, as Blu-ray and DVD revenue both fell back.
As is the case with other Easter lulls, this ones was also light on new releases, with Insidious: The Last Key in 6th and Father Figures in 9th being the only new releases in the top 10. The top selling title was still Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi.
Looking Glass was the only other new release in the top 20, at 17th.
This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: None of this week's new releases (in the top 20) were available on UHD. So out of the top 10, eight titles had UHD editions (all but the two new releases).

Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray Sales Share:
BD sales share for a title is the percentage of disc packages sold for this movie that contained the Blu-ray edition of the film (including combos, and Ultra HD editions). So a BD sales share of 60% indicates that 60% of disc packages sold for this particular film contained the Blu-ray edition for this film, and so anything over 50% means that the Blu-ray version of the film was more popular than the DVD version.
'Insidious: The Last Key' was the only previously mentioned new release that got over the 50% mark, with 50.79%. 'Father Figures' managed 39% while 'Looking Glass' got 31%.

Blu-ray revenue recovered slightly from the lows of last week (due to the post-Easter lull), and the release of a A-list-ish release in the form of The Greatest Showman helped in the recovery too.
It was actually a week full of new releases in the top 20, with no less than 7 other new releases. Apart from 'The Greatest Showman', the best selling of these was Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay in 4th place.
In 6th place was Outlander: Season Three, and in 10th was Proud Mary.
Outside of the top 10, we have Molly’s Game in 11th, Phantom Thread in 13th, All the Money in the World in 15th and Braven in 16th.
This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: Two of this week's new releases (in the top 20) were available on UHD, including top seller 'The Greatest Showman'. A few good releases, but none that did terrific business at the (U.S.) box office, and so Blu-ray revenue remained near last week's relative lows.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure was the week's top selling new release and overall top seller on both Blu-ray and DVD, just squeezing past 'The Greatest Showman' to the top spot this week. Maze Runner Trilogy also managed to get a top 10 finish, at 10th.
There were 6 other new releases in the top 20. Den of Thieves in 4th place was the best selling of the rest, just ahead of Hostiles in 5th place.
While it did great in overseas markets and was a critic favourite, Paddington 2 had to settle for 7th place this week on debut.
Forever My Girl was in 11th, while Grease: 40th Anniversary Edition rounded off the new releases (in the top 20) at 17th.
This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: Three out of three of this week's seven new releases (in the top 20) were available on UHD, including top seller 'Maze Runner: Death Cure'. The other titles were 'Hostiles' and the 40th anniversary re-release of 'Grease'. So 7 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

The 'Maze Runner Trilogy', being a similar type of release, also did well with 63.38%. The week's actual top seller, 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure', managed 57.95%, just ahead of the 57.87% earned by 'Den of Thieves'.
'Paddington 2' also got above the 50% mark with 50.95%.
'Hostiles' got 43% while 'Forever My Girl' got 30%.

Blu-ray and DVD revenue remained largely unchanged compared to the previous week. This is despite five new releases in the top 20, including the week's top seller, Peter Rabbit.

It was then down to 7th for the next new release, Winchester.

A big A-list release this week propelled Blu-ray revenue above the $50 million mark, and weekly Blu-ray market share went above 50% as well.
That big release was Black Panther, which easily outsold everything else in its path. Disney has still made available a DVD only edition of Black Panther.
There weren't many other new releases this week, which is not at all surprising. Rick and Morty: Season 3 in 7th place was the best selling of the other new releases.

Blu-ray (and DVD) sales fell back down to more "normal" levels, as last week's mega A-list release, 'Black Panther', dropped back in sales following its debut. Top 10:
Blu-ray revenue posted a small recovery from last week's lows, thanks to a couple of new releases, the best selling of which (and also the overall top seller of the week) was the much-maligned A Wrinkle in Time.
In a distant 3rd place was the next new release, Death Wish, while the re-release on Blu-ray of Peter Pan was 4th.
The Hurricane Heist in 7th was the next new release, while Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Complete Series in 10th rounded off the new releases in the top 10.
The 4K re-release of The Incredibles got an 11th place finish.
This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: Three separate titles had UHD editions out of the new releases listed above, including 'A Wrinkle in Time', 'The Hurricane Heist' and of course, the 4K re-release of 'The Incredibles'. So 8 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.
The complete top 10 chart is below (new releases in bold, Blu-ray exclusives are denoted by *, UHD releases denoted by +):- A Wrinkle in Time+

Of this week's previously mentioned new releases, 'Avatar: The Last Airbender — The Complete Series' had the best BD sales share, getting 86.08%.
'A Wrinkle in Time' also did well on Blu-ray, getting 71.05%.
'Death Wish' got 57.69%, while 'The Hurricane Heist' got 46%.
For the UHD releases, being a 4K only re-release, 'The Incredibles' got a UHD sales share of 44.48%, while 'The Hurricane Heist' got 7.47%. 'A Wrinkle in Time' got 4%.

Blu-ray revenue and market share dropped for the week ending June 23, compared to the previous week, because of the lighter slate of releases.
The biggest new release for the week, and also the week's overall top seller, was Pacific Rim Uprising. It easily outsold the number two title, and last week's number one, 'I Can Only Imagine'.
It was then all the way down to 6th place for the next new release, Paul, Apostle of Christ.
The other new releases were all out of the top 10, with Dragon Ball Super: Part 4 in 17th and Midnight Sun outside the Blu-ray top 20, but 19th on the combined Blu-ray and DVD chart.
This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: Only 'Pacific Rim Uprising' was available on UHD out of the previously mentioned new releases. So that makes 7 titles out of this week's top 10 that had UHD editions.

A pretty quiet week in terms of new releases, with only two new releases in the top 20.
The best selling of these new releases was Tyler Perry's Acrimony, but it only managed to secure fourth place.

As a result, Blu-ray revenue and market share both fell compared to last week.
This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: Neither of this week's two new releases (in the top 20) were available on UHD. So that makes 6 titles out of this week's top 10 that had UHD editions.
