Top 10:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 helped Blu-ray revenue improve slightly as the new Marvel movie outsold everything else during the week.

The next new release was the 4K release of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (also available in SteelBook) in 6th place.

Outside of the top 10, About My Father was new to the top 20 in 11th, while the 25th anniversary re-release of The Big Lebowski was 14th.

The 4K release of Rio Bravo was 18th.

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: All of the new releases in the top 20, except for "About My Father", were made available on 4K. 9 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

The BD sales share is the percentage of disc packages sold for that contained the titles's Blu-ray edition (including combos, and Ultra HD editions) for a particular title. So a BD sales share of 60% indicates that 60% of disc packages sold for this particular film contained the Blu-ray edition for this film, and so anything over 50% means that the Blu-ray version of the film was more popular than the DVD version.

Only "Guardians 3" and "About My Father" had DVD editions, and they had BD sales shares of 68.39% and 48.02%.

On 4K, again it was only "Guardians 3" that had a separate standard Blu-ray edition, and its 4K sales share was 34.25%.

Blu-ray sales decreased by $1.35m (up 12.8%), with unit sales up 5.6%.

DVD sales decreased by $3.03m (down 19.1%), with unit sales down 23.8%.

This meant $1.68 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Blu-ray's market share increased from 39.86% to 48.04%

Top 10:

Fast X was the top-seller for the week, but Blu-ray revenue actually fell compared to the previous week.

There were a few other new releases in the top 10 including, 1923: A Yellowstone Origin Story - Season One in third, the 4K edition of Enter the Dragon in 6th.

Swamp Thing gets a 4K restoration that's available on 4K and Blu-ray, and it was 8th.

Two more new releases outside of the top 10, the Wal-Mart exclusives of The Gate and The Mist, both with retro covers.

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: "Fast X", "Swamp Thing" and "Enter the Dragon" all were available on 4K. 8 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

"Fast X" had a BD sales share of 57.93%. "1923: A Yellowstone Origin Story - Season One" got 25.56%

On 4K, "Swamp Thing" had a 4K sales share of 88.51% (so I guess almost nobody wanted to buy the standard Blu-ray edition of the 4K restoration), while "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" got 20.69%.

Blu-ray sales decreased by $0.28m (down 2.5%), with unit sales down 3.4%.

DVD sales decreased by $1.57m (down 10.5%), with unit sales down 19.3%.

This meant $1.85 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Top 10:

Blu-ray weekly revenue dropped below $10 million again, with only a few lacklustre releases in the top 20. Babylon 5: The Road Home was the best-selling new release in third place, just above Asteroid City in 4th.

Nefarious was 8th, with The Machine in 11th being the last new release in the top 20.

"Jurassic World Dominion", "The Black Phone", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" on 4K from this time last year was what "Babylon 5: The Road Home" and "Asteroid City" was up against. Hence, the big drops you see below.

Blu-ray sales decreased by $5.83m (down 38.7%), with unit sales down 32.8%.

DVD sales decreased by $4.56m (down 27.4%), with unit sales down 27.9%.

This meant $10.39 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Blu-ray's market share decreased from 47.49% to 43.29%

Top 10:

Despite 5 new releases in the top 20, Blu-ray revenue fell again. The 4K release of The Nightmare Before Christmas was the best-selling of the new releases, coming in at 4th.

The Blackening was not too far behind in 5th.

Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar was 7th and the 4K release of Hackers was 12th.

And finally, the 4K release of Weird Science was 13th.

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: Only "Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar" wasn't made available on 4K (or was a 4K only release). 7 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Only "The Blackening" actually had both Blu-ray and DVD editions (and so has a relevant BD sales share to look at) and it managed 73.85%.

It was also the only title that had both a 4K and standard Blu-ray edition (and so has a relevant 4K sales share to look at), and it managed a 4K sales share of 31.45%.

This meant $7.18 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Top 10:

Blu-ray revenue improved slightly (at least it's above $10 million this week) on the backs of the release of The Flash, which easily outsold everything else for the week.

In a distant third place was the comedy No Hard Feelings.

The next new release was the 4K release of Infinity Pool, in 7th place.

Outside of the top 10, the 45th-anniversary 4K release of Battlestar Galactica (the reworked pilot made into a TV movie) was new to the charts in 14th.

The Flash: The Ninth and Final Season was the last of the new releases, in 17th.

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: "The Flash" was available on 4K, along with the two 4K only releases in "Infinity Pool" and "Battlestar Galactica". 8 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Your eyes have not deceived you. Blu-ray revenue actually rose compared to the same week last year - not too hard considering "The Flash" and "No Hard Feelings" were up against a week in which "1883: A Yellowstone Origin Story" was the only new release in the top 10.

Blu-ray sales increased by $1.14m (up 11.4%), with unit sales up 8.4%.

DVD sales decreased by $3.53m (down 22.5%), with unit sales down 24.0%.

This meant $2.39 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Blu-ray's market share increased from 38.93% to 47.81%

Top 10:

Despite the release of the popular film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Blu-ray revenue still dropped compared to the previous week (although DVD revenue was up slightly) - Spider-Verse 2-Movie Collection was 6th.

The new animated film was by far the most popular Blu-ray for the week, and it was also the best-selling 4K disc.

The next new Blu-ray release was Star Trek: Picard - The Final Season, in third place - Star Trek: Picard - The Complete Series was 15th.

The 4K release of Sleepy Hollow was 5th (2nd on the 4K chart),

Outside of the Blu-ray top 10, The Princess Bride also gets the 4K treatment, and it was 12th (4th on the 4K chart).

Matilda gets both the 4K and SteelBook treatment, and it was 16th (8th on the 4K chart), and the 4K edition of Night of the Comet was 18th (9th on the 4K chart).

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" was available on 4K, but the last season of "Picard" wasn't - the rest were all 4K only releases. 8 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" managed a fantastic BD sales share of 84.68% (meaning almost nobody bothered to buy the DVD edition of the film). "Spider-Verse 2-Movie Collection" did equally well, with 76.55%.

On 4K, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" had a 4K sales share of 39.13%. All the others were 4K only releases.

Top 10:

A very quiet week in terms of new releases in which Blu-ray revenue fell below $8 million for the first time since June. The top-selling new release was Batman: Mask of the Phantasm in second place.

The next new release was Joy Ride in 9th.

Outside of the top 10, Cobweb was 12th, Air was 14th, The Walking Dead: Dead City - Season 1 was 17th and the 4K SteelBook version of Smile was last of the new releases in the top 20, in 19th.

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: The two 4K-only releases, "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" and "Smile", were the only titles made available on 4K. 8 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Of this week's new releases, "Cobweb" had the best BD sales share of 68.84%. It was just slightly ahead of "Joy Ride" at 68.36%.

"Air" managed only 41.32%, which was still better than "The Walking Dead: Dead City - Season 1" at 28.40%.

The two 4K releases were 4K only releases, and so they don't have a 4K sales share (or rather, both would be nominally at 100%).

Some big drops this week compared to the same week last year, when "Elvis", "Where the Crawdads Sing", and "Lightyear" being the best-sellers.

Blu-ray sales decreased by $3.57m (down 31.2%).

DVD sales decreased by $5.32m (down 31.7%).

This meant $8.89 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Top 10:

Blu-ray revenue improved slightly from last week's lows, thanks to the release of The Little Mermaid. Even though it only outsold the recent number one "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" by a little, it was enough to lift Blu-ray sales to above $9 million.

The 50th anniversary 4K re-release of The Exorcist was in third place, with the Best Buy exclusive SteelBook edition also being available in the same week that the electronic retailer announcing the end of its sale of physical media. And then it was all the way down to 9th for the next new release, one of next year's Oscar favourite Past Lives.

The 4K SteelBook version of The Last Dragon was 10th.

The Best Buy Exclusive 4K SteelBook release of Fall was 12th, and finally in 17th was the Criterion edition of The Trial (available in 4K and HD).

This week's Ultra HD Blu-ray report: "The Little Mermaid" was available on 4K, but only via the Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Disney Movie Club editions, "The Trial" had both a 4K and standard Blu-ray edition. Only "Past Lives" didn't have a 4K edition or wasn't a 4K exclusive. 9 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

On 4K, "The Little Mermaid" had a UHD sales share of 18.48%, which is quite good considering those editions weren't available for wide, non-exclusive release.

Top 10:

Blu-ray revenue remained below $10 million despite 10 new releases in the top 20. Elemental (4K trailer download) was the most popular of these new releases, and also the most popular title overall. 'Elemental' was available on 4K, but only via Best Buy, Walmart and Disney Movie Club and it came second on the 4K chart.

in an increasingly rare case of a streaming title making its way to disc, Loki: The Complete First Season (4K trailer download) came 3rd on the Blu-ray chart, and as a 4K edition was also available, it was top of the 4K sales chart.

Insidious: The Red Door was 4th, with the Universal animated release Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken in 7th. Neither of these were made available on 4K.

The 4K release of Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later was 9th on the Blu-ray chart, and was 4th on the 4K chart. Similarly, the 4K release of Natural Born Killers: Collector’s Edition was 10th on the Blu-ray chart, and 4th on the 4K chart.

Outside of the top 10, the second part of the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy (Season 1: Episodes 11-20) was 13th.

The 4K re-release of The Fifth Element was 15th on the Blu-ray chart and 6th on the 4K chart. Another 4K re-release, Ghostbusters 1 & 2 was 16th/7th.

And finally, the 4K release of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer was 17th/8th.

On the 4K chart, there were a few new releases that failed to make the Blu-ray top 20, including the 4K exclusive releases of My Bloody Valentine, Moonage Daydream, and Carlito's Way.

Top 10:

Blu-ray sales climbed a little, but not enough to get over the $10 million mark.

The best-selling new release, and this week's overall top-seller, was Prey (4K trailer download), which outsold the second-placed, and also new to the week, Talk to Me - both titles were 1st and 4th on the 4K chart respectively.

The 4K release of The Mist was third (2nd on the 4K chart), followed by the 4K release of Scream 3 (3rd on the 4K chart).

RWBY Vol. 9 (no 4K edition) was the next new release, all the way down in 14th. Also outside of the top 10 was the Best Buy SteelBook edition of Evil Dead Rise (4K trailer download) in 18th, which got as high as 10th on the 4K chart.

The 4K and Blu-ray 3D (yes, 3D!) release of It Came From Outer Space was 19th, and 8th on the 4K chart.

And on the 4K chart but not ranking high enough for the Blu-ray chart was another new 4K release, Night of the Demons from Shout Factory.

Top 10:

Blu-ray revenue rose above $10 million this week thanks to the release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (4K trailer download), the top-selling title for the week on the Blu-ray chart as well as the 4K chart.

Strays (4K trailer download) was the next new release on the Blu-ray chart, in 6th place - no 4K edition was available for this title.

The 55th anniversary edition of Rosemary’s Baby on 4K was 9th on the Blu-ray chart and 2nd on the 4K chart.

The Boogeyman (4K trailer download) was 10th on the Blu-ray chart (no 4K edition), and outside of the top 10, the Wal-Mart exclusive Blu-ray release of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was 11th (again, no 4K edition).

M3GAN (4K trailer download) gets a 4K release coming more than 6 months after the original disc releases - it was 14th on the Blu-ray chart and 8th on the 4K chart.

The Shout Factory 4K release of Pumpkinhead was 16th (6th on the 4K chart).

The release of Meg 2: The Trench (4K trailer) was not enough to arrest the decline of Blu-ray sales compared to last week's high (which was thanks to the release of Barbie). The sequel was the top-seller on both the combined Blu-ray/4K chart and the 4K only sales charts.

It was otherwise a quiet week for new releases, with the next new release being the Criterion release of The Others, in 7th (and 3rd on the 4K chart).

Then it was all the way down to 15th for the next new release in the top 20, the 25th-anniversary SteelBook release of Godzilla (6th on the 4K chart), followed by The Boys: Season 3 in 18th (no 4K edition).

The 4K 40th-anniversary edition of Cujo was 20th (9th on the 4K chart).

There were several new releases in the 4K top 20 that didn't sell enough copies to get into the combined Blu-ray and 4K top 20. Red Dragon was 10th, The Muppets Take Manhattan was 11th, The Toxic Avenger Collection was 14th, and Paramount Scares Vol. 1 was 16th.

Top 20:

A big release in the form of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (4K trailer) helped to lift Blu-ray sales, as the annual Black Friday sales have also started early at some outlets. The latest "M:I" movie outsold "Barbie" by more than a 2-to-1 margin. It was top of both the combined Blu-ray/4K chart and the 4K only chart.

Blue Beetle (4K trailer) is another decent-sized release, debuting in third place (second on the 4K chart).

There were three more new releases in the top 10, including Retribution in 6th (no 4K edition, 4K trailer), Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part Two in 7th (16th on the 4K chart), and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 in 9th (no 4K edition, 4K trailer).

There were a couple of new releases that didn't rank high enough in the combined Blu-ray/4K top 20, but did rank inside the top 20 on the 4K chart.

The 30th-anniversary edition of Schindler's List arrives in the form of a 4K limited edition and a limited edition SteelBook that's exclusive to Best Buy. It was 7th on the 4K chart.

Top 20:

As we get closer to Black Friday, Blu-ray revenue continues to climb, even if the new releases this week didn't particularly seem very significant.

Gran Turismo (4K trailer) was the best-selling new release, but it was only second on the combined Blu-ray/4K chart (but it was top of the 4K only chart).

The 4K only release of American Graffiti was the next new release, in 14th place (10th on the 4K chart). It was the first of a trio of 4K only releases, the others being Scrooged, was 16th (11th on the 4K chart) and Fargo in 17th (12th on the 4K chart).

There were a couple of other 4K releases that didn't make the combined top 20. Trading Places was 14th on the 4K chart, and Violent Night was 18th.

Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray Sales Share:

The BD sales share is the percentage of disc packages sold for that contained the titles's Blu-ray edition (including combos, and Ultra HD editions) for a particular title. So a BD sales share of 60% indicates that 60% of disc packages sold for this particular film contained the Blu-ray edition for this film, and so anything over 50% means that the Blu-ray version of the film was more popular than the DVD version.

"Gran Turismo" was the only new release that had a simultaneous DVD release, and so the only one with a BD sales share - it got 70.98%.

For 4K releases that had both a 4K and standard Blu-ray/DVD editions, again "Gran Turismo" is the only release that fits this category, and it got a 4K sales share of 36.54%.

DVD: $16.12 million

Blu-ray sales decreased by $1.88m (down 12.3%), with unit sales down 22.5%.

DVD sales decreased by $3.01m (down 18.7%), with unit sales down 24.7%.

This meant $4.89 million less in combined revenue for the week.

Blu-ray's market share increased from 48.76% to 50.66%
