      If we get one with a CableCard slot we'll get a CableCard on it...
      For now I might try to get a cable box... if my parents are willing to pay the $12 a month extra... though I'd need some sort of HDMI splitter to hook it up.

        I am just messing with you. I was looking at the HDMI switch boxes and they are pricey.

          Well that's not the only reason I don't want a cable box... I just don't like having to use a ton of different remotes to control my TV... the TV comes with a capable tuner, why shouldn't it be used?

            I agree with that. It is a pain to have to use several remotes just to watch TV.
