Billy boy is by no means stupid. When you're top dog you always try to stay on top. Why pay Sony when everyone else pays M$? M$ also looking ahead to see where Blu-ray ends up. Business never personal.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

Blu-ray licensing adds about $10-$20 on top of the cost (Dolby, DTS, AACS, BD-J ...), so that's probably why Microsoft won't include native Blu-ray playback to Windows 7.Comment

I don't really see what the big deal is... Windows XP doesn't even have native DVD playback, does it?
Although, last I checked that's easily fixed by installing a free trial of WinDVD or PowerDVD, and anyone can use Windows Media Player, or Media Player Classic, etc. to play them.
Or are you saying it won't be able to READ the discs without buying extra software?CYA Later:

Well, don't the free trials install the decoding software for you? And if I'm not mistaken, they are still active even when the trial installs.
Thank God for third party software! I don't really see what the big deal is, then...CYA Later:
