At least somebody is getting a PS3 price cut: Sony has slashed the cost of the PlayStation 3 development platform by more than four-fifths.

It's the PS3 development kit for game developers, previously something like $10,000, but now only $2,000.

Well at least it is a small step in the right direction. Now Sony needs to make it much easier to develop games for the PS3.
