UK-T, a private torrent tracker with roots to UK-Torrents (a BitTorrent website for TV shows that was shutdown years ago), has shut down possibly due to legal action taken against the website's operators.
Other site staff have been arrested, some have had their homes searched, and the tracker is now officially offline, the 5,000 or so private members were informed. Just before the "raid", site staff had managed to delete user data and so the members may appear to be safe.
There has been no official word from either the site owners or even anti-piracy agencies, so the news website TorrentFreak has had to use its connections to find bits and pieces of information to paint a picture of what most likely happened.
