In a sign that DVD disc sales are beginning to be a cause for concern for retailers, the US's largest DVD seller Best Buy has decided to team up with CinemaNow to deliver digital movie downloads to its customers.
This comes after Netflix's CEO predicted that digital downloads may replace DVDs judging from customer subscription patterns.
DVD sales have been struggling, and while Blu-ray sales have been up, the increase in HD disc sales are not nearly enough to stem the losses in DVD sales.
