A new study shows that while 56% of UK households now have HDTV, only 9% actually use it for viewing HD materials. 91% are still content to watch SD DVDs and to watch TV through standard definition digital boxes.
Full HD broadcast is coming to Freeview in the UK soon, but is now only available on subscription television and satellite services, which might explain the slow uptake of HD content.
In the same survey, 81% admitted to not using their various devices to the full abilities, and 27% did not bother reading manuals.
