The eagle eyed and quick might have managed to download a "pirated" film from Sony's own PlayStation Store, as the still in theaters movie 'Armored' was accidentally released to the PlayStation Store. And the best bit was that it was free!
The movie was only up for about 5 hours, and that was plenty of time for many to download and watch the entire movie before Sony pulled the plug on this "better than BitTorrent" offer.
This incident does provide some insight into the movie distribution business, since we now for a fact now that some movies have their digital distribution versions ready for release while the movie is still showing at the cinemas.
