Poll: Spotify style streaming services reducing piracy?

A new poll by Norstat suggests that 54% of people using Spotify and similar streaming services are now no longer pirating music. 68% say they are playing more music.

A similar poll last November showed that two thirds of Spotify users downloaded less pirated music or stopped it altogether.

Spotify provides free ad based streaming music, while also providing a premium subscription model for those that don't want ads.

These polls seems to show that streaming services like Spotify provides a great way for people to discover new music, with people previously relying on less than legal source to do the same.
