The PS3 will finally get a version of Netflix that doesn't require a Blu-ray disc to be used this month.
There are no details about any improvements to audio or video quality as a result of the switch, although the immediate benefit is that users will no longer have to find, insert and play their Netflix startup disc to get their Netflix fix.
And as CrunchGear says in the linked article below, it will at least mean an end to the irony of using a disc for an online streaming service.
