So the money that napster gets goes to the MPAA or the artists?

        Is that a joke

BTW, for music artists, its the RIAA which is involved (Recording Industry Association of america).

MPAA is a crock of crap really. They shouldn't be busting the users but the companyies. The users would be nothing without the source so why not wipe out the source then that wipes out the users. What files they have is what they'll have for a while until they find out the potential of newsgroups

Most of the time the central "source" is not a major company like FastTrack for Kazaa. Out of many examples, we can take for instance the very popular edonkey2000. It doesnt connect to 1 single network, yet to many servers run by people like you and me, and with all those servers, it would be impossible to stop everybody who wants from making one.

Then why do they keep trying? Right when they get rid of one another one pops up and so on. When they got rid of Napster, Didn't a whole bunch of others come out? Yes they did. Haven't they caught the drift they should just give up because this is going to keep happening and happening. Yeah the artists are loosing money but in a situation like this what can they do? Shut down the internet? LMAO

Artists bitch and bitch about not getting their "fair share" of money because of piracy, but if you ask me, 20$ for an album which has 2 or 3 good sings is ridiculous.

The only people that deserve money are punk bands, listen to some of their music and you know they dont make music to be rich and sold-out like all those rappers *cough eminem cough* and boy-pop bands .

I had a couple of cds that I loved (loooong time ago) and my sister had about 100 that she loved. She goes on a roadtrip and her and my cd's get stolen and never returned. The only cd thatI ever bought after that was a used weezer cd (pinkerton) and a foo fighers cd.

Believe me it makes listening to CD's a whole lot easier not having to switch disks as much and all.
