Backing up PC games

Is there a way to back up a recent pc game i tried it with "The Sims"....but when i went to use it i got the message ....insert original cd rom....?

Or can someone point me to a web page that might help.

You recieve that message because the original cd was copyrighted and had a "code" on it which only certain burning programs/cd-rw drives can crack. Apparently your program or drive can't. Search the net for more info, i'm sure you'll find some.

GD-Nimrod....thanks i guessed it was a code or a gap in the cd....which the copy can`t recreate...any-more ideas?
