I think there should be a 2-3 wait for new users before there frst post (ala Doom9) as this, I think, will ensure the search fuction is used. Seems to work over at Doom9.org

I am assuming you mean a 2-3 DAY wait? I think that should be taken into consideration like just trial it for a month and see how it works. Then we can make an evaluation about it and see if it was effective or not

        Newbie

well i am new to the digital world, and i am glad i did not have to wait a few days before i could post, every question that i ever asked has been answered. if i would have had to wait to post a question.i would have just looked for a different fourm, also, i think you people (meaning non newbies) get to a point were you think everyone should know the basics i have spent 1000 on cpu,400 on a dvd burner,i bought a scanner, and about 550 on different software packages, and after buying nero. i found the link here, for free, and i have bought different programs, after asking question to you guys have found better programs for free. none of the things i bought came with a how to guide, just links to website that could not answer my questions. BUT HERE. i have found peoplewho are are willing answer even the most navie questions. Basically,i now read different thread beforE i post a question because most of the time someone before me has already asked the OPPS i forgot what this thread was about

I'am pretty sure this would kill these forums. It works on Doom9's site because they have a very large base of experienced users, and developers discussing current technology and future developments.

If we removed all the newbie questions on this forum, there would'nt be much left.

The thing is most of the questions new members post have been already posted (EX Xvid having green spots etc..)
