Do you mean installing it or creating it from scratch (which is what I offered my help for)?
I can only see the screen captures and description as you have to be a registered vB user (which I'm not) to access the attachments.
This hack would require (amongst other things) modifying the database; not a small hack in my book, lol.
(I have a very small book though)

yes, that would need FTP access for uploading files, and PhpMyAdmin to do SQLs

yeah, that is one bad thing about vBulletin. It isn't open sourced, and it is highly secured...

My offer to make small hacks for these forums was made directly as a reply to his hacks requests.
So I don't see how either of us hijacked this thread.

no actually it wasnt it was to the chicken but i see you wanna stick your 2 cents into it to so then ill continue in his idiotic fashion... if he wants ppl to respond correctly to his posts he should make them more clear.. i see "suggestion for the forum: quick response" i think make a suggestion for the forum and get a quick response but hey i guess thats just common sence and im thinking we dont use that around here. its to bad too we could avoid all these little issues... and your a "moderator" than how about moderating him out the door for calling me stupid in the first place

I was not sure who your rant was addressed to (chickeneater being this thread starter, so logically he couldn't be accused of hijacking it), and thought it might be me.

Whenever I'm confronted with a thread that has an ambiguous subject , I have to read it (being a moderator) to make sure I know what it's about, so you're raising a legitimate issue.
However, if all these threads should be criticised/edited/deleted, that would make for a very messy and even more confusing message board, don't you think.
So best to read what it's about before contributing.

I honestly don't think chickeneater called you stupid (and I quote, "Movies aren't stupid, people are").
When you first reacted negatively to it he also added it was intended as a pun, not to be taken literally.
So I honestly don't see what the problem is/was.
All I was able to read in his replies to you was some feedback about your chat idea, and his polite suggestions to post your request in another thread.

yes and you make some valid points... but my my response as to the reason for my chat idea is what started him on his little tiff... i dunno mabey i just caught him on a bad day who knows.. but i dont even care any more i really dont i just want a more efficient way of getting help on the forum like i said ive been having an ongoing problem and i cant seem to get any help for it so i thought it would be a good idea to have a chat that we could all through around help and ideas.. but what ever i appologize for misunderstanding the topic subject mabey i should have read more closly but thats all this will be my last post in this specific topic

Not if you're an admin or moderator with access to the "edit thread" option

I am also thinking of adding a page that lists all the modifications made to the forum, which could come in handy when I am updating the forum software.

So post any suggested mods here, and I'll pick out the good ones to implement, such as the quick reply box and the fading links thing.
