    Moviiieessssss

Its hard to point out the best movie you have ever seen, but some movies do stick. For me that's L.A. Confidentiel. I find the plot, script, acteurs, costums&scenario absolutly fantastic. It's hard for me to think of a match. Any suggestions????

There is an other movie which i would like to recommend. Not because it's the most brilliant movie i have ever seen, but because it's different. It's a German movie which is very funny, but also tries to shed a different light on a large historical event. The downfall of the DDR regime (GDR) . The name is GOOD BYE LENIN. It is an excellent movie, a pitty that most of you won't see it. Something different then that Hollywood brainwash .........................hmmmm what was my favorit movie again....well never mind.

    Ciao

    Hey Fook Yu,

I agree LA confidential is a quality movie. The best movie of all time though would have to be Scarface....one of Pacino's finest moments, closely followed by the Godfather Trilogy

Yeah, Holywood only lets us have what their religious/business/government heirarchy will allow. I do have some Asian movies which are better acted, timed, produced, directed than many Holywood "Hits".

One of my favourite movies is DUNE (Original and extended version), another is Gone With The Wind (though not realistically a portrait of how things really were in the South).

Al Pacino is great, you should see the final scene of "The recruit". Wow what a actor. I can't believe he played in "Gigli". That hurts.

Would you have some titles of those Asian movies. I'm always curious to see movies that are not that commercially exploited.

I know a Danish movie that is fantastic also it's called "Festen". A absolute MUST see.

Yep, gotta agree with you about Pacino, very magnetic actor, personal favourite clip with him is with DeNiro in Heat, in the diner comparing notes as to what they do/will do

But for film I gotta plug the one that has me in tears every time I watch it. Not cos of sadness but appreciation of the drama and the personal torment that were happening at the time .. Apollo 13.

I can remember as a youngster being glued to the radio/TV at all the key moments of the actual voyage and especially the re-entry/shield climax. Recreated so convincingly - excellent!

Scanners 2 is only good if you saw (and understood) scanners 1.

Hmm I have seen scanner II, I and III now. And i still dont get it. Scanner III i was not impressed about. Scanner II was OK and i liked scanner I.

Whats so special about II? Have i literally overlooked something?
