Maybe it is just coincidence, but lately there has been an influx of rule-breakers, especially with respect to cross-posting and piracy.
Is it at all possible to ensure people have read the forum rules before they make their first post?
E.g. When they sign up, they are immediately taken to the rules and something like an "I have read the rules and accept them" box needs to be checked before they are allowed to post.
I know most people won't read them, but they aren't lengthy and how many posts from newbies have we seen that said, "I didn't know" or "I was in a hurry and thought if I posted in 10 forums I might get a quick response" etc etc etc?
Worth a shot? Or technically impossible anyway?
