Moderators - Can we actually DELETE the spamming posts and not just lock them?
i hear there may be a way to bounce back spam to the sender, any way you mod's can accomplish this?

I find people that post blatant spam on forums aren't usually the brightest of all people, certainly not bright enough to spoof their IP addresses (and if they did, this person was not bright enough to change the spoofed IP address after their account had been banned, twice). Spammers are just looking for easy targets, and there are plenty of easier ones than this forum, so they move on usually after a few bannings.
sfheath: Once the member is banned, he/she won't be able to login and certainly not post again. Once the IP address is banned (in the forum software, not on the server), the user won't be able to view the forum at all (gets an error message).
jmet: Can't do MAC blocks with the forum software. Can't MAC addresses be spoofed as well?
While your general assumption regarding spammers not being bright enough to "Spoof" their IP addresses is probably accurate, I was merely pointing out to "mig$y" that it could be done. If it has been done, it is most likely a rare occurrence, but there is little protection against it if someone does do it. You never know...
