I can also recommend Fearless which is out in the UK this week. It is Jet Li's last epic martial arts film (Hero was his previous one). He uses his well known Wu Shu martial training.

I haven't bothered going to the cinema for a long time. It is too overpriced and often dissapointing. I rather get the DVD and use my own setup. My local cinema can't even do DTS audio.

The last film I saw was Return of the Sith (only because I have seen 4 of the 6 SW films at the cinema on day of release). The previous film was X Men 2.

The last one movie I seen in the theater was "Lucky Number Slevin".So your a fan of DTS. I am also I love the sound it puts out I also like DTS-ES .IMO I think DTS has better sound then DD I just think it has more clarity

I liked the Poseidon, I never did see the original to know the difference but there were saying in the special features that it was a remake.

I am half tempeted now to see the original now though. LOL

You should see The Poseidon Adventure because it's a great film. John Williams did a brilliant music score in the films, too. The Poseidon Adventure stars Gene Hackman and Ernest Borgnine and many more well-known stars. The Captain of the Poseidon is Leslie Nielson from The Naked Gun films. There's a sequel called Beyond The Poseidon Adventure starring Michael Caine and Sally Field.

What I also like about Poseidon is, the character's names are different. Most re-makes have characters with the same names. Wolfgang Peterson that directed Poseidon said he wanted the characters to have different names because he didn't want Poseidon to be too much like The Poseidon Adventure.

I just have DTS 5.1 but I do find it is better than DD with recent films. There is little difference with old films when the engineer just mixes DD to DTS rather than a proper DTS.

It is also important to have speakers that can create the clarity and DTS is not just louder. If anyone has those satellite sized speakers there won't be much difference as the speakers don't have the range.

do you know this movie was out in China few years already? all they did was put in subtitle and put in the theater, all you will see is subtitle on top of the Chinese subtitle

Chinese films are always out there first but not always years apart. Fearless came out this year in China in January 2006, it is a new film by Jet Li (his last epic and made after Hero). It came out in the UK in June 2006. The US got it in September 2006.

Hero was out years before the West got them. Hero came out in October 2002, the UK got it in September 2004. The US got it in August 2004. House of Flying Daggers came out in July 2004 in China and in the UK in October 2004. The US got in December 2004.

Region 3 DVD's can suffer from poor picture and poor English translations. The Region 3 version of District 13 had many spelling mistakes.

I rather wait for the UK version with better subtitles. As long as it is the original language and no some crap English dub, I am happy.

The films don't get released like that at the cinema in the UK. No one would accept it.
