Looking forward to any future releases? Im really hoping George Miller will pull his finger out and get on with Mad Max 4 "Fury Road". One month its on, one month its off. Last i heard Robert Downey jr was cast, then nothing.

He has like 20 or 30 odd films to his name. Thats an easy living.
Andromeda Strain - 1971, great book and movie (heard it is going to be made into a 2 part mini-series this year)
Coma - 1978, great book, so-so movie
Jurassic Park - 1993, great book & movie for completely different reasons, they seemed barely related storywise.

I loved Night Court! Saw John Laroquette on a West Wing re-run last week, wonder whatever happened to Harry Anderson and Markie Post?

harry anderson and markie post turned into a couple of deadbeats. both had appearances on cheers. they have both done a fair amount, but nothing coming up that i know of, marsha warfield had her own show, remember that? that died, selma diamond died after the first season, charles robinson went on to other things, pretty much a deadbeat too. florence halop replaced selma diamond and died a year after her of the same thing---lung cancer. john larroquette has been the best known after the series ended. then there was paula kelly, gail strickland(who only appeared on the pilot), billy, karen austin, quan-lee, leon, art, phil, and all those others we loved----all deadbeats or dead now. that's all i got"One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century". You know I was always wondering if ever there was a god they would make Hitchhikers Guide into a Movie and man they missed tragically with the recent car wreck. For those of you who are not familiar with Douglas Adams work please do not judge him by this trash that made the screen. Those books made me laugh so hard I had to read them in 10 min increments. Dirk Gently series is my favorite, "Long Dark Tea Time Of the Soul" Brilliant, the man will be missed.Last edited by DAFT; 10 Sep 2005, 01:34 PM.Comment

A series of books I really would love to see on screen comes from one of those Star Wars tag writers Timothy Zahn...He wrote these 3 books that come 5 years after the Jedi and seriously, way better than Lucus in the story developing department. great adds and created a working world of how a Jedi would be in a universe that respected the teachings. Forget the first books name but you could look it up with his name i'm sure. a must read for the SW fans, It took me a week to finish the first 2 they were so good. If your into SF these books push the limits.Comment

Saw Crash today, really enjoyed it. Nice acting throughout, simple story, a little uncomfortable premise. Raises emotions (which i reckon the writer/director wants), which not a lot of films do these days, so points for that. Dillon was the star of the peice, good to see him in the big films again.Comment
