I finally got around to watching "A Good Year" with Russel Crowe. Hard to classify this film. I guess it is more of a romantic comedy than anything else. I did enjoy it though. Shows what kind of acting range Crowe has. Nice rainy day flick.

Well personally the word "GAY" comes to mind, but since I in one of my past lives I have a connection with the SAG I should be nicer and classify is as "Chick Flick". heh

some of my friends went to see 300 Friday afternoon, they were talking about going back Sunday afternoon to see it again

I did make it thru "Stranger than Fiction", thought I had wasted my time and money, not worth buying and backing up but a good watch nonetheless

Saw Blood Diamond at the dollar theater($1.50), Leonardo DiCaprio had the greatest accent, a keeper

warning leave the wife or GF home

          waiting on Deja Vu next

My two cents for worst movies..

There are a lot of bad movies...a lot. For 2006 in my opinion it was a tie between the Da Vinci Code and Superman Returns. With the Da Vinci Code, I loved the book, but I hated the casting, the stilted dialogue and Ron Howard should have his "creative licence" revoked because the departure from the storyline stunk...to put it mildly. Superman Returns disappointed on so many levels, but what put it over the edge was the fact that Superman has a kid....I mean where in the world did that come from?!? Among the list for '06 was Basic Instinct 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, and Crossover.

For 2005 it has to be Brokeback Mountain. It was too long, too hyped and an empty storyline. Aeon Flux, Bloodrayne, White Chicks, Elektra and Dukes of Hazzard were among the runners up.

For 2004 it would be Catwoman. The story was so weak, and as much as I like seeing Halle Berry in tight fitting clothes it wasn't enough to make up for the silly story line and poor action sequences. I am not sure if Gigili was this year or the year before but put that in there as well as From Justin To Kelly.

                    Hey Columbo........
I was thinking about you at work yesterday and had a good laugh.. I saw these and thought you might be interested!
(dang I can't find it on line here)
But at work there were a set of columbo MOVIE packs coming out soon.
NOT the series... but the Movies from the mid-late 80's early 90s (if memory serves correctly) I will go back and ask to borrow that magazine later this week and get you a parts number on it.
                    peace

Me too, and also The Good Shepard. Both April releases though.

Looking forward to Blood Diamond (glad to hear some good things about it) and Casino Royale for March releases.

You definitely need a pause rewind button or a few watches with the good sheperd, a friend of mine and I both went to see it at the big screen, as I said earlier we compared notes later trying to figure it out

complexe movie, helps to be a history buff

weird seeing the star/matt damon hardly speak thru the movie, the finer nuances of playing that part made me respect him even more, like in the bourne series, a keeper

I usually like to watch a movie like that alone, no distractions. Not like throwing in a silly comedy and watching half of it, but still not miss anything, lol.

As Chewy said "The Good Shepherd " is very complex movie.. Definitely try and keep distractions to a minimum . I am anxiously awaiting DVD release to see what I may have missed at the theater.
