          I could only make it about half an hour into "Babel" before giving it the old heave ho. More crap.. should have been called Babble IMHO! Maybe it gets better later on in the flick ,but I couldn't watch anymore. Did the same with "Night Listener".

            I really enjoyed Casino Royale. I thought it was one of the better bond movies put out I really liked the story. I also thought Daniel Craig did a great job as Bond to me he has a mixed style of Connery/Brosnan .I did feel his pain in the rope torture scene
            ouch!!!.I would rate this movie an 8.5

              I'm saving Bond for tomorrow night. After Babble and The Return I am in dire need of a really good film .

                  I really liked BABEL it was a good quality movie IMO I really like Director Alejandro González Iñárritu style he is the master of tying stories together. I loved these other two movies he Directed Amores perros and 21 Grams I see "Amores perros" often on the IFC Channel I would rate it a 8.5 .If you haven't see the two movies I mentioned above then you should give them a look they may change your mind about BABEL

                    To my everlasting horror and dismay, I watched Night Listener in its entirety. What a pile of crap! It was just so God-awful boring!!!!!

                      I am currently into the first Season of "Rome" from HBO. I generally don't get into series type shows but HBO usually does a pretty good job with their shows. Started picking them up at the local BB last week when there was nothing left worth trading my mailed movies for. Just finished episode 8. Those Romans were pretty wild. Won't see this stuff on commercial television. No kiddies allowed.

                      @BR.... Glad you liked Babel..Just not my cup o'tea,,,may try again on a rainy day...

                        Gotta disagree with an earlier post, maybe age I don't know;

                        Borat is decisively one of the very worst movies ever, IMO. Still mad at myself for watching the thing. I love a good silly comedy, but acting retarded with an over-the-top-phony accent is lame and tiresome.

                          it is def. not my type of humor

                          I like Hanibal Rising and watching the old 300 Spartan before I go to see the new 300 in theater ( I heard that it is really good)

                            I have seen the whole series once and I didn't think much of it but then again that was my first impression of "Deadwood" when I first seen it,it just didn't draw me in like The Sopranos,OZ and The Wire did when I first seen them.But I have been planning to give it another look in the near future sometimes it takes 2-3 watches for me to warm up to a show

                              I'll be starting Deadwood as soon as I finish the Rome series... Picked up last two discs today.. My oldest son really likes Deadwood and suggested I give it a look. Have to settle for renting the early seasons since I'm to cheap to pay for HBO>>

                                Deadwood is great Just a warning they lay the curse words on thick and they do not hide what the girls are for in the bar so keep the little volfanns out of the room
