lol, yes indeed swept away became a household name for a while here because of it's crappiness--much like gigli did. the village was an all around piece of crap by m knight shamalalamalan(that'll do).

You didn't rate the Village then ? It looked quite good from the trailers and I borrowed it off a mate to watch. Its still in my DVD rack waiting to be watched but now I will watch it just to see how bad it is....

yep, the village is a 4 star- 4 alarm, piece of horse crap. you'd be better off watching grass grow for the 2 hours---seriously.

I fell asleep the first time we tried to watch it. When I forced myself to re-watch it, the film was utterly disappointing. The twist was that there was no twist, unless you count the obvious one that could be seen from miles away. I was sooo disappointed in William Hurt, years ago he was great, now he's just anesthesizing Ron Howards daughter was quite good tho, but she was the ONLY bright spot.

I just watched ONG-BAK. The english voiceover is funny, but I thought it was a Kick Ass ( no pun intended) movie as far as martial arts is concerned. The story wasn't that bad either. Watch out Jackie Chan.

it's true, one of the pharm corps picked the movie up (The Village) a now sells it as a non-medicinal sleep aid. it works for me, out like a light before the opening credits are finished.

Ransom is good! It comes on regular cable/satellite TV here all the time. (I'm getting sick of seeing it actually)

The hammer and toe scene. One of the most "feel the characters pain" movie scenes ever. Bloody good film. What you doing LT, catching up on underated cool films?
