That would be confusing when she and Neve is in Scream 3.

                you asked for it LT

                who are your favorite actors/actresses?

Ahh, so many... I'll stick with the living ones

Crowe, DeNiro, Depp, Hanks, Ian McKellen, Steve McQueen, Robin Williams, Bruce Willis. I must be a chauvanist, I can only think of three great living Actresses Jodie Foster, Charlize Theron & little Dakota Fanning.

                which actors/actresses do you hate?

I'll pass, even those I don't like tend to surprise me if they get the right role, like Affleck or J. Lo.

which ones do you feel are over-rated/under-rated?

                Overrated:
Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Richard Gere, Mel Gibson,
Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, Tobey Maguire, Julia Roberts, Schwarzenegger & Stallone

Underrated: Alan Arkin, Willem Dafoe, Charles Haid, Ian Holm, Malcolm McDowell, Sean Penn, Mickey Rourke, Eric Stoltz, Mark Wahlberg, David Warner. Can't think of any underrated women, seems like they all get alot of attention in the press or at least on the 'net

I just saw Henry Fool the other day with Parker Posey, she was ok but I thought the movie sucked.

i can pretty much agree with all these, while most i like though, except tom cruise.

i totally must disagree with sean penn being underated. my hatred for him is so strong it scares me!

oh yeah, johnny depp is great too--secret window was very good IMO. lately he's been making these stupid kids movies though, can't wait for pirates of the carribean 2 and 3

You are of course absolutely correct, he's been dead nearly 25 years. He was an afterthought to my list because I recently watched an old tape of him in Henrik Ibsen's "An Enemy of the People". He was amazing in the role of Dr Stockmann, and damn near unrecognizable. If you ever happen to catch it on PBS or can find it on VHS, it's well worth the time.

But already a Norwegian production company has produced – and screened – the fourth cinematic version of "An Enemy of the People." It was first filmed in 1937 by a German movie company, then again in 1977 with the late Steve McQueen, and in 1989 by Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray (titled "Ganashatru").

"Enemy" was a labor of love for McQueen, who defied his failing health (he would die of cancer three years after the film was made) and his macho movie-star image to indulge his passion for a story he believed demanded retelling. The icon who'd occupied the star-making roles of "Bullitt" and Jake in "The Sand Pebbles" and "The Magnificent Seven's" Vin appeared in a thick beard, wayward crown of gold curls and granny glasses to play Stockmann. It was a career turn that confused McQueen's fans, and undoubtedly few saw the film, which was shelved and given only very limited release after his death.

Whether it was McQueen's devotion to the project, the comparative mediocrity of his final two theatrical films ("Tom Horn" and "The Hunter") or, again, the literary durability of Ibsen, this "An Enemy of the People" is worth your while if you can find it (in an art-house theater or one night on PBS ... it's not on DVD).

Sure it makes sense, although I thought she showed incredible range in "The Astronauts Wife" alone. And I'll have to totally disagree with you about Alan Arkin, He's been in so many films it's amazing, but I especially loved him in the older movies like "Catch-22" and "Freebie and the Bean".

Why do you hate him so much LT? I used to hate him too back when he was with Madonna, but in the last 10 years or so he's really proven to have some acting chops. "From Dead Man Walking" in '95 to "21 Grams" and "Mystic River" in '03 and everything in between I think he's been great.

lol, i cant stand that big-nosed meatball's face. i just wanna rap him in the jaw. publicity-seeking, tree-huggin, do-gooder. probably a PETA member too!

last time they had some kind of award show that chris rock hosted (academy awards?) he made a joke (rock) "who the hell is jude law anyway? he's been in every damn movie i've seen in the last 4 yrs!"

this was so true! at the time he had 4 movies coming out, so it made sense to me. everybody thought it was humorous, but not big-nosed sean penn. nope, meatball there had to make sure he set the record straight when he got on stage to accept a farce of an award, and proclaim "just to answer our hosts question here: "jude law is one of americas finest young actors". i wouldn't go that far, but he's good. so much for the relaxed atmosphere. even the press thought he forgot to take his chill pill. i can't stand these bloody celebrities who have to make their opions known. so to all those PETA advocating, anti-war protesting, moronic-scientologist "sean pennish" do-gooders i say, "I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, OR WHAT YOU THINK!"
talk about abusing free speech and using their status!
