1) well it depends

The new labels state that unauthorized copying and distribution is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

well...does someone have a blanko authorization to back up owned dvds?

-just playing around with the words here, but as a matter of fact, the US have quite corky penaltys scales..law and justice ruled by big companys....-
