      i installed this google earth. pretty neat, saw ground zero, paris and bahgdad.

      can't zoom in to close to get a clear shot though...

        I've d/l the world wind software frrom nasa (free) 180 mg. heard good reviews of it but haven't had time to play with it yet

          I liked Google Earth altho its not in hi res for my house yet !! How did you get on with World Wind tiger ?

            My computer is no longer a fast machine but it met the criteria for World Wind. I couldn't get it to work as it kept taking too long to refresh. It was unusable.

                I don't think google earth is THAT great it has crap resolution when you zoom in too much.

                  Actually a fair amount of it is really detailed. One of my favourites is the Chinese Emporer's Palace from centuries ago.

                  I also like the Aeroplane Graveyard in the desert in the US. There are some hundreds of planes all lined up.

                        Theres a better one than that. Ill try and find it again, its got A10 Thunderbolts lined up on the runway and a massive graveyard full of planes. Even has a few migs in there.

                          Ok found it. Allied airstrip in Tucson Arizona. Biggest military airplane graveyard in the U.S. Huge area. Check out the runway, has around 50 thunderbolts parked up, and the graveyard has everything. Early F's, Migs, Hueys, B52's, everything.
