I just got done reading the morning paper. The NFL wants the Eagles to release TO right now and let him become a free agent. it seems the maximum under the players agreement they can do is the four day suspension. it says it is different than the K.Johnson thing with Tampa Bay. He was inactivated but still got paid. This oughta be very interesting!!!!
The article also quoted some players saying that TO wil be missed on the field. Jevon said that everybody has to pick it up a notch and moake some plays.
Now who in their right mind would not pick TO up for half a season to make a run for the SB??? Not that I don't like the Eagles now I still do but what if the Giants, Redskins or Dallas picked him up. OOOh I'd like to see that.
Also Hank Fraley the center is ouf for the season with that shoulder injury and the Eagles brought two guys up from the practice squad... and I think Jason Short is out for the rest of the season with a broken leg.
And Chad Lewis back from the SB injury to back up L.J. Smith.
Going back to the last game against the Reds\kins I recorded it on DVD cause we al went to a bar to watch it. I replayed the play at the close of the first half and . McNabb was right, Greg Lewis wasn't covered when he looked but by the time McNabb snapped the ball there was somebody on Lewis. I watched Westbrook also , because McNabb called the spike to stop the clock , Westbrook just stood there and McNabb went past him cause he dropped back like 5 yards from the line of scrimmage. Westbrook did not even move or turn his head until a Redskin from the left side was about to go by him to get to McNabb and then it was too late McNabb was on the ground already by a skin who came around the right side. Westbrook held his hands like "WTF" did you do. I agree with Westbrook, WTF did McNabb do!!!
And like everybody else says where was Westbrook for the last two plays of the Eagle drive at the end of the game.....on the sideline. 3rd and 4 and your best remaining playmaker is on the sidelines, huh!!!!! I know McNabb was hurt but as jhas been pointed out nobody keeps the spy on McNabb anynore because he don't run....4 yards LiL Danny might have gotten that much. And McNabb's last 2 passes were real beauties, an overthrown ball to the left side and a strike to a Redsjins chest for the interceptionthat ended the Eagles gaem that night.
I know the O line ain't really protecting him too good, they been playing the pass for so long. holding ground or droping back that they forgot how to block forward to make holes for the run.
I'm done Ah!!!!
