Parcells retires from coaching.

After a trying season in Dallas, Bill Parcells is retiring from coaching.

"I am retiring from coaching football," Parcells said in a statement. "I want to thank Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones for their tremendous support over the last four years. Also, the players, my coaching staff and others in the support group who have done so much to help. Dallas is a great city and the Cowboys are an integral part of it. I am hopeful that they are able to go forward from here."

The Cowboys finished a tumultuous season with a 9-7 record and lost in the NFC wild-card playoffs when a late field goal attempt went awry against the Seattle Seahawks.

"I am in good health and feel lucky to have been able to coach in the NFL for an extended period of time," Parcells said. "I leave the game and the NFL with nothing but good feelings and gratitude to all the players, coaches and other people that have assisted me in that regard."

Dem forkin Saints ..... been watchin those Saints for 30+ years, since the Kilmer days, I'm over 50 and remember selling soda in the stands as a kid watching dem play ...... boy it really sucked to see dem buckle under again ... ****e man, I was pizzed !!! So close, yet so far away !!!!!!!

EDIT: I pulling for Manning as well ...... and dat was a HELL of a comeback yesterday !!!!

I will have to go with "da Bears" to win it. If they strip the ball from Indy like they did to NO, it will not matter how many points INDY will run up.

This is still a game of takeaways. You can not score if you cannot hold onto the ball.

Turnovers are always a huge factor, and we know the Bears D and special teams can score as much as a good offense at times.

@uufta - All I did was find a free site that had the pools and bulls1tted in the announcements. It was fun for me and I think everybody else too. And it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings....one more bbbbiiiiiiiiigggggggg game....
