I saw a post about this in another Thread, but thought i'd start this as the original post was locked. I have Blockbuster Online and it's pretty cool. I used to have Netflix but they are not as good as they say they are. they started out fast but then after a couple of months they began taking longer. But the advantages of Blockbuster is you get free rental coupons every month. Anyway, just thought i'd say this.

I've been thinking about joining either blockbuster or netflix. my brother has netflix and he stated the same thing "SteelBlade" stated about the slowing down of service.Comment

I use Amazon.co.uk for rentals. They work out at £1.70 versus £3.95 in my Blockbusters shop. I use them as more and more DVD's are not worth purchasing (new DVD's cost about £15 when just released). I receive the discs 24 hours after they get posted and they receive them in 24 hours as well.
Another bonus is I get 10% of anything I buy from them while I am renting DVD's.Comment

I'm on the 3@time with netflix $17.99@month + tax. I've been averaging 20 DVD's a month including the free 2 week trial I started 3-26-05.It has been a little slow in the turn around the last couple weeks but could be the USPS.Not registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums

the reason the original post was locked was because the poster admitted backing up movies he/she rented...."One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century". Jack The Ripper - 1888

I've tried BBOnline and Netflix, the only advantage with BB is the 2 free rental coupons every month (movies or games), but that doesn't make up for the erratic service IMHO. Netflix for me was a consistant 2 or 3 day turnaround, and easy to get 20+ movies in a month. BB varies all over the place, several times it's taken 6 or 7 days to get the next DVD and it isn't always the next one listed in the Queue either, it seems impossible to get 20 movies a month with them. Then there was the time they sent me a Special Features disk instead of the main movie... At least BB used to be a couple bucks cheaper than Netflix, but now that they're priced the same, it's no contest.

well as i was saying columbo
he wrote in a completely different board about renting this movie but he must have write in this board at the same time because the date and time were exactly the same or almost the same. a person can think one thing while posting something else. he might have said "i rented a movie" in one board then went to this board to ask a question and forgot what he was doing and asked a backup question and started the same topic as the other one. he didn't mean necessarily that he burned a rental, just that he got the 2 boards mixed up. it's just my opinion however.Comment

taelon and anyone else
i'm not saying you should or shouldn't stick with Netflix but someone or at least 2 people have admitted the Netflix thing and it's not a USPS thing. I think Netflix tells you they sent it but they in fact leave it in their center for 2-3 days then send it. Has to be something because there's no excuse for a week to week and a half shipping. many others on the net have complained as well.Comment

My delay with Netflix has not been in the time from when they say they ship it to when I get it. I usually get it the day after they said they are shipping it and sometimes it's before they say I should receive it.. Neflix in the user agreement states they will ship low renters first before the heavy renters. I dunno if they hang on to some of my returns before they acknowledge they receive them that why I mentioned the USPS. I had one that was not acknowleged as received for 12 days.
I also received a wrong DVD, it was the right sleeve but the wrong DVD was in it. They were both Richard Pryor DVD's. But still no exscuse for shipping the wrong item, the sleeve had "Here and Now" and the DVD was "Live In Concert".Not registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums
