Do You Have a Floppy Drive?

If you have mulitple PC's, count the one you use most

I don't have one, and frankly, i find the icon in windows explorer a real bother. if i accidently click on it, i gotta wait for what seems like 10 seconds for it to say 'device not ready' or something. its now disabled in the device manager

no , small text files mainly
though i have to have one in my main machine to install the 3rd party sata drivers under installation

since all my pc's have sata hard drives and I get tired of going into
bios and turning the floppy on and off and hooking the damn thing
up on the table, I have them in all but one. And if I reload that one,
it's gonna have one too.
The big PIA is MS putting all those old server drivers on the XP CD and never
loading anything usefull like some generic serial driver drivers.
press F6 to load drivers windows cannot find your hard drive

Only time I use it is for memtest. Gathers dust - probably doesn't work now.

used only few times when i want to save something small real fast (quicker than burning). pretty much never use it though. and this used to be the hard disc drive. i remember the REAL floppy's..

anony, it would seem you have pata drives but how many unused sata ports?

Have one in mine never used but that doesn't say much have only had PC since August.

I use mine for small stuff, like Word documents, etc... used to be good for taking homework to school to print out or edit, but the new computers don't have floppies, so now I just upload the Word documents to my server

I have a floppy drive on all my personal PC's.

I use floppys all the time.

I program CNC milling machines,routers and lathes. many of the machines have a floppy drive(no usb),and others are controlled by older computers that have only floppy drives(no CD or USB),some real fossils,incl. win 3.1.1 and DOS.

G-code files are ,usually, pretty small.
