Why can't Firefox open WMP? And the reason why Firefox has 2 more options is that you are automatically signed in with Firefox, not in IE. Sign in with IE and it will look the same

drf, your hatred of firefox is unnatural. its a completely free, open source, community driven program, which happens to be better than any version of IE (i will not count IE7, as its beta)
it even has a plugin which, should it be one of those very very rare moments you wish to use IE instead, you can, within firefox.Last edited by anonymez; 5 Jan 2006, 12:54 PM.Comment

Look, I don't hate it per say... it IS on my hard drive. I just don't use it. Just because videos don't load right. And, I don't like the tabbed browsing. It got annoying trying to get Geocities PageBuilder to load in tabbed browsing... they are supposed to pop up. There is nothing wrong with Firefox, but I like IE better, because it works in more sites than Firefox does.CYA Later:

I decided to reopen this thread because I am sick of IE6 and IE7. I switched about 2 months ago. The tab browsing is excellent but better is the bookmark system. If I need a link to insert into a reply, I right clik on the bookmark and copy the link. If I want to copy a picture, i right click and it is downloaded to imageshack and a pasteable link pops up to insert into a reply. Firefox add ons have left ie6 sitting at the starting line. Go give it a try. My firefox picture is actually a link in my signature!!Gary D

I prefer firefox. It seems to do away with alot of those annoying pop ups.
IE is good as well but I use Firefox. I used to use Netscape back when I was on dial up.

I have to use IE because of work. I'm a call center agent and the company I work for gives you only one option - IE. I also have to allow the pop-ups so that when I get a call, the screen will pop.
Luckily, my home computer can be set up anyway I want.Comment

I have to use IE at work also, they have put some corporate "Intra-net" not to be confused with "Inter-net" front end on it as the home page. Almost everything known to man is blocked from beign surfed. Thank goodness they have missed blocking this forum <evil laughter> but so much else is blocked. I cant even see the pics in the "funny pictures" thread!!! At home I have MSN's home page, probably IE6 in disguise, I hate it because they have added so much cute-sie crap to it lately. Hopefully I will be switching to cable instead of DSL in a few months and then I will try out FireFox, that everyone seems to like so well.Comment

If I install firefox on my home PC, how easy is it to use? And if I decide to network the 2 PCs I have, will it work?
@vw56 - should we describe the pics for you? LOLComment
