    SD Cards

For those of you bargain hunters out there - I have an MP3 player that takes SD cards as add-ons, up to 1GB. Can someone find me a really cheap 1GB SD Card (can be used) somewhere (preferrably other than eBay, for it will probably expire before I see it)? The cheapest I can find is about 50 bucks from www.amazon.com. Any suggestions? 50 bucks seems kinda expensive - more than I paid for the player!

$50 is a decent price for 1GB. They can be up to $100 for the Sandisk make.

The cheapest I can find is $47.

I also have a SD card Mp3 player which cost me just £10. The 256MB SD card cost me £15. A 1GB is around £40-£50.

Hmmm... OK, it is just that I do not have very much money, and do not want to spend that much at one time. Especially because I just bought that Sony camera (the money I got as a gift), and I gotta buy a $40 Memory Stick Pro for that. Now, I would buy the SanDisk brand, but I have seen soooooo many bad reviews that the cards cause a memory card error in many Sony cameras. Is this a known issue?

I have no experience of Memory Stick but no someone who has. He has had no problems. Memory stick will always be more money over other types of card as it is Sony after all.

How about a 512MB SD card to save money?

Yes, they are only about 30 bucks. I figure, the more the better, but oh well! I will ask for a 1GB card for my birthday, and if I don't get one, I will buy a 512 card then.

As far as memory stick, how do you not have experience, don't you own that Sony camera that uses them?

I am waiting for a 512MB Memory Stick from Ebay. I am just using the internal memory at the moment.

You can always get another 512MB in the future if you need more and settle for swapping cards.

For my MP3 player, it is mass storage, it is not like a camera. It is like saying that I can always buy 2 10 GB hard drives and swap them instead of getting a 20 gig one. As far as the camera card goes, I know some pretty good deals (about $40 US for 512 MB) if you want a link - however, these are American sites.

Not bad, although I would settle for the 512 card for 12 bucks any day. Too bad they don't have cheap Memory Sticks.

Yeah, but one, I do not need that big, and two, I can find 512 cards for 40 bucks on Amazon.
