1. LOTR Trilogy - Goddamn masterpiece

2. Shawshank Redemption - Extremely well written, wonderful performances by leads

3. Training Day - Fan of the genre, well written & played, Denzel & Ethan work well

4. Kill Bill Vol. 2 - She killed bill. Awesome.

5. Schindler's List

Runner up - Batman Begins. not sure why i liked this one so much, but i'm sure one of the reasons is cause all other batman movies sucked

1. Maximum Overdrive
-Pure cheese but I have seen this movie over 200 times
2. The Matrix
-the sequals were good as well but I prefer the first one
3. The Princess Bride
- I saw it first as a kid cause of Andre The Giant but fell in love with the story
4. The Amityville Horror
-This is the orginal one of the only movie that scared the hell outta me
5 Beyond The Mat
-As a fan of Pro Wrestling this movies helped me explain to people who laughed at me for liking wrestling why I like it

LOTR Trilogy (It is all one story)
Hero
Star Wars (all of them)
Terminator 2 (better than first Terminator)
Saving Private Ryan

I could subsitute House of Flying Daggers with Hero as they are both just as great. Also, even though it is a TV series. I often watch Saving Private Ryan with Band of Brothers (the best TV series ever) and think of them together.

I will always love Star Wars. I started watching/collecting SW toys in 1980 and Return of the Jedi was the second film that I saw at the cinema in 1983 (first was Condorman). It brings me back some old memories even when watching the Prequels and make me feel like like a Kid again.

3. Pulp Fiction (never laughed so much in my life - they nearly threw me out, I'm sure)

(but how can you leave out Million Dollar Baby, Raging Bull, Scent of a Woman, The African Queen, Casablanca, Maltese Falcon, Some Like It Hot (jmet will appreciate that one, I'm sure), Citizen Kane and host of other oldies, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, Chicago, The Pianist, Schlinders List, SW 1-6 etc etc???)

And for all Aussies, special mention to the 1990 Grand Final between Collingwood and Essendon!!!

I really think that film was underrated, what made it a top 5 for you?

Maybe all the blood and guts. I loved the whole flick and the musical score was tremendous too. I think Scorsese's stuff is great - esp Raging Bull etc.
