The Gangs of New York was great it wasn't what I expected it to be I was under the impression it was a Mafia movie so I was a bit surprised at the movie theater. Daniel Day Lewis steals the show IMO its a shame he got snubbed at the Oscars and I can't forget Leo he did great also as well as did the rest of the cast. I think this is Scorsese's best work next to Goodfellas if you ask me I think he is going to give his ultimate master piece before he retires I think Goodfellas and the Gangs of New York are just a warm up for him

Just a comment here, only one movie because I remember this sooooo well.
The original movie in 1977 Walking Tall, not part 2 or part 3, but the origional.
I saw this movie in the movie house and the movie fans (including myself) were jumping out of their seats, yes thats right jumping out of their seats in cheering on Buford Pusser.
I have NEVER seen anything like that and probably never will again. A much different time back in 1977.Last edited by ed klein; 6 Jan 2006, 04:03 AM.Comment
