Yesterday, equipped with an extra helping of popcorn and a sense of adventure, I went to see "The Best of Youth" in it's six hour plus entirety.
I entered the theatre unsure what to expect, having heard only sketchy plot details, and as the lights went down the familiar chords from "The House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals began playing over the decidedly ginger opening credits. What followed was an immensely rewarding film, a saga chronicling the trials and tribulations of two Italian brothers from adolescence to middle age. Not once did I become bored or wish for the end, even during the half hour interval I was left wanting more.
I highly suggest you check this out.
