never fear - DAR~ling is here...

Hi folks, hope you are all well! I know, it's been a while. bah! I've been busy with work and uni, now I am graduating, feels awesome. Finished my final exams in January whilst everyone else is still doing them...mwahahahha...

During this time I have been working on my own project called DAR~ling....

I thought I would post this here. This is an application again just like WMP Remote, for the PC and mobile device.

DAR~ling is a Digital Audio Recorder for your PC. It also allows you to remotely manage/control it via your Smartphone/PPC having .NET CF 2.0. You can connect to it just as you did with WMP Remote (via bluetooth/gprs/wireless/usb cable)

The purpose of DAR~ling is simple:

To automatically record your favourite radio shows/broadcasts/audio - any audio playing through your soundcard, from a set start and end date/time.
It is like a digital VCR!

It was a long 6 month project and I am pretty happy with it myself after completion, and hope you find it of use!

DAR~ling is ideal if you want to record the World cup 2006 audio streams, in case if you are away

    Requirements:
    Windows XP/2000/2003 or higher
.NET Framework 2.0 (setup downloads this for you)

    Mobile:
.NET Compact Framework 2.0 (best used on QVGA devices)

    Direct Download:

    bug center: http://bugs.spapps.co.uk/darling

Remember to keep checking for updates within the application

I appreciate your feedback and value them! If you find any bugs or have a suggestion, please feel free to post here, email me from the website or PM me here - I would be greatful!

Many thanks, have a great day

So would this work for a streaming audio off the net? I do have a radio show I listen to that is stored on a site and is streaming and I dont always have time to listen to it, I would love to record it and put it on my mp3 player to listen on the way to work.

Derree, I would assume it depends on how it's set up.

A handy little trick I found is, set your recording source to "wave out mix" and then say you are listening to a stream in Windows Media Player, you can just record it with a recorder such as this. You would however have to schedule the stream to play at the same time you schedule the recorder to record.
