I will be the ugly american and say who cares nobody watches soccer. I'm kidding though in portland oregon we actually have a professional soccer team the Portland Timbers and i'm sure there better than our basketball team(trailblazers) cause they couldn't be any worse.
Going to there games is cool because sitting in the beer garden gives you the best view of the game and keeps you close the important things.

I must say that I agree with you floresdave. But the rest of the world kinda likes soccer (admin included!) and this is our first go at the finals in about a million years so the whole sports mad country is getting ready to cheer the Socceroos on.

No, soup, that is what our national soccer team is actually called. Women's hockey are the Hockeyroos. Men's basketball is the Boomers (soon, I am sure, to be the Boomeroos).

Believe it or not we are even talking about world cup in america. Just watching COLD PIZZA on ESPN and they were hyping it up. It's on television right now. I wonder why america missed the boat on being crazy for football/soccer. Good luck to everyone's team Cheers

Two sports I don't like are basketball and soccer. Sorry, but I am a die-hard football (American) fan.
