        Better then the movie, the book. Your imagination is sometimes much scarier then anything you actually see. I read the book long before the movie ever came out. Talk about the willies! The movie was good but the book is even better!

            I read the book right after I saw the movie. Couldn't stand to be in the house alone and couldn't read it w/o someone sitting next to me!

                I guess Stephen King hated the movie..thought that Nicholson looked crazy right for the start and he wasn't supposed to...he did do a tv miniseries that was really well done and much closer to the story: Click Here To See
