Well, there are many codes of footy. Here in Oz, we have 4 codes, Aussie Rules (which is called "football"), Rugby League ("League"), Rugby Union ("Union" or "Rugby") and Soccer.

Clearly, the one which uses the feet most is Soccer. That's how I voted.

We call US Football "Gridiron" for some reason.

Oh - and don't forget the Irish with their Gaelic Football (a bit like Aussie Rules played with a round ball).

Australian Football is awesome! I used to watch it before when it used to play on one of the sports channels. Just thought the action and the scoring was fun to watch.
It seems to have rugby and NFL football all rolled up into one.

Only reason I went with American football is because soccer already has another name. Don't try and confuse us poor dumb American bastards by renaming anything. We can't even stop using the english system vs metric! (being a science major for many years, I can tell you it's a pain in the as$)
