discman, i take it that the answer to my question is that you can not present us with a self contained puzzle description, which makes me think you do not remember all of what you read somewhere in a puzzle book.

@Miss Marple. Nice one. I like that. The man is locked in a room with a chair, but I think the chair is insignificant. Just a way to through us off the right track. He says there r no otherdoors except one that is locked from the outside(its welded shut). He didnt actually say there were no more doors, leading me 2 believe there r 2 doors. Disc also says theres 2 ways 2 get out. Here's what Im thinking. Cant open the locked door because it's welded shut. So open the door that is not locked and either 1. simply walk out or 2. crawl out. hehehehe

This reminds me of a movie Ive seen. hehehe. Well maybe someone will open the welded door and he will be let out 1. alive and well or 2. dead, depending on how long he is left in there.
