I think this is the funniest show on television right now. Mike Rowe is hilarious, especially when animals are involved. This is the first TV series I have watched religiously since Mash. For those not familiar ,it is on Discovery Channel..

I love that show. He finds the most unusual jobs and they are dirty!! I love how he seems to find any and all jobs that relate to poop. I can just hear him now......"So what you're saying is, it's poop." -
I have posted previously about a friend of mine who runs a transfer station in a local town. He makes approx. $65,000 a year. I have heard people gafaw at his wage, after all he isn't college trained. I remember one day when the local dog pound director came and dropped off 5 leaf bags full of dop poop. She didn't tell him and when he went to cover the tailer he found himself standing knee deep in dog poop (old poop at that!!). I thought to myself, he earns every penny of his wage.Comment

locoeng: For $30,000 a year you would have to live at home in Connecticut. I can not think of one city in this state where that wage would support a single adult adequately.Comment

I agree with you on that one, but when I went from 7K a year bagging groceries at Kroger when I was in college to making $30K a year slinging lumber at 84 Lumber I thought I'd won the lottery. Then I got married, bought a house and baby. The money gets thin quickly.

BTW Alien, the only show I watch from that list with any regularity is CSI Las Vegas and house on occasion, the rest I can't really get into...I prefer a little education mixed with comedy. I.E. Mythbusters.

At one time $30,000 per year was considered mid to upper middle class income level.
Today..........well.......yep thats a deep hole in the ground, so is that income level!
